Andy Silver recognized with 2017 WLIHA Advocacy Award
By Charlene Welch, Council for the Homeless
The Washington Low Income Housing Alliance (WLIHA) recognized our very own Andy Silver with one of their 2017 Advocacy Awards: Champion for Homes.
“Andy Silver has served as the ED for the Vancouver Council for the Homeless for six years. He spearheaded Vancouver’s successful housing levy campaign and drove the advocacy that passed Vancouver’s ordinance prohibiting source of income discrimination and increased notice for no cause lease terminations. We appreciate Andy’s collaboration on state level advocacy, his sharp political analysis, and his relentless determination to garner support from Vancouver area legislators.“
Housing and Homelessness Advocacy Day is Feb. 1, 2018. Watch our Facebook page HERE for more details next week. You can also check the Washington Low Income Housing Alliance (WLIHA) page HERE.
