If you would like to donate items to the CFTH Housing Solutions Center to provide to people experiencing homelessness, please follow the guidelines below. For questions about holding a supply drive of food, toiletries, or clothing please contact Charlene Welch at cwelch@councilforthehomeless.org to discuss current needs and quantities.
We can accept these types of food items:
- Individually wrapped or packaged, single serving size
- Chewy and soft foods
- High protein
Examples include: Applesauce, fruit cups, granola or protein bars, cup o’ soup or noodles, boxed or cans of juice, dried fruit, chicken or tuna pouch, peanut butter
- We do need gallon-size ziplock bags.
We cannot accept items that:
- Require refrigeration
- Require a can opener
- Are past their expiration date
- Need to be cooked beyond just adding hot water
We do not need paper plates/cups, plastic silverware
- We cannot accept clothing except for packaged new socks or underwear and winter outerwear (new coats, new hoodies, new hats or gloves, and.) All sizes needed, especially extra-large.
- Toiletry items should be travel size and low odor or scent free

- Hand warmers (single use)
- Coats
- Boots
- Ponchos
- Hats
- Gloves
- Scarves
- Hoodies
- Tents
- Tarps
Spring/Summer:
- Sunscreen
- Hats
- Anti-chaffing gel
- Bottle water
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
- Deodorant (low odor or scent free)
- Single use bathing wipes
- New socks and new underwear of all sizes especially Large and X-Large
First aid items:
- Socks
- Tarps
- Chapstick
- Hand Wipes
- Soap
- Comb or small brush
- Kleenex
- Culturally-specific/specialized hair products (e.g. Cantu brand)
